The first events of the inaugural Run Dollywood weekend took place Saturday April 25th at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Events included a 5k run, a 10k run, and a kids run. Participants lace up on Sunday morning for a half-marathon which takes them through Dollywood theme park, Dollywood’s Splash Country water park, and onto the properties at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa, as well as Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort. The races feature unique Dollywood touches along the race routes, including character photo opportunities, music and entertainment, roller coaster rides, and even a station featuring the park’s beloved cinnamon bread.
