In this universe it is strength over beauty. Strength is universally acknowledged by all organisms. Beauty is provincial and limited to the biological species. A crocodile will eat an attractive human female/male in the same manner it would an unattractive one. What the crocodile will acknowledge is its strength and power to inflict force no matter what organism it is. A supermodel cannot seduce a crocodile. It is better to be viewed as strong by the crocodile than beautiful. Beauty can be eaten. Strength must be reckoned with. Even something as small as a virus. A virus must reckon with the strength of an immune system and vice versa. There are times strength and beauty overlap like the Greeks who found the human body at its most powerful to be beautiful. Zeus and Hercules were God and son of God. Christianity changed this aesthetic. The old gods or the new gods change human history but they cannot change natural history because the gods are man made and serve man. Nature's god does not serve man. It serves nothing. Humankind wants to serve this god but the god of this universe has not interest in such servility. I use the word god as human language has its limits.
In the end strength and energy are not enough. Time and Fate are masters of all and will crush all in its path. The great Dinosaurs who ruled for millions upon millions of years could not anticipate the change that was coming from an evolving land and ocean and of course the asteroid that changed the world. When one sees the demise of these great beasts the Darwin quote comes to mind “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, not the most intelligent that survives.It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.”
Not even the great star in a solar system is immune to Time and change. The Sun will die...with time.
