Songs from the Hole, the acclaimed documentary-visual album directed by Contessa Gayles (The Feminist on Cellblock Y, Founder Girls), and composed by JJ’88 while he was behind prison bars, comes to LACMA for a screening and special post-screening performance by JJ'88 featuring a live band. Songs from the Hole is available on Netflix and Songs from the Hole EP available for purchase and streaming starting August 13.

Tune in to a sonically inspired series of films documenting the sounds, rhythms and vibrations that move us to action and change the world. Featuring Songs From the Hole on August 24 and Tony Williams in Africa on September 6 - films made by, about and through music with screenings accompanied by live performances and conversations.
