This video was inspired by youtube.com/watch?v=STweVC_wshk by Stef Wild - see this lovely video for a thorough account of the ring-necked (rose-ringed or ringneck) parakeets here in this Solihull/Birmingham park.
Very easy to locate by their constant loud calling, they can be frustratingly difficult to see up in the green tree canopy. Eventually found in this video eating mid/late September birch mast.
Talking to local residents, they are found mostly to the west of Elmdon Parish Church in the general area of the Nature Park, but also frequent the trees by Streamside Way at the north-west corner of the Park, and visit the gardens abutting that area.
