Andy Lewis was the guy you went to when you had a crazy idea and he would bring it to life. He’d always do it in a way that was bigger and more exciting and more fun than you’d imagined. I looked up to him and he was always the first person I would call or find an excuse to work with when I could.
This was the last project I had the joy of getting Andy on and it really was a pure manifestation of that magic he brought. We were busy out there, but the hikes between locations allowed us a few precious hours to just chat. As someone who has played with death arguably more than anybody else in the world, he was able to share his rich perspective on life and so many hard lessons learned. I really appreciated how much of an open book he was. I’m grateful to have gotten to share those hikes, this project, and all our conversations over the years. He really brought out the best in everybody.
I hope this short film pays a little homage to his incredible spirit.
