Ethan is now a full fledged member of the GUARDIANS. But of course, celebrations have to wait, as an unexpected attack happens by the SEED. After removing the threat, Ethan walks into a private conversation taking place, by Headmaster Nav himself. Was this attack a planned experiment? The young guardian doesn't take this information sitting down, and confronts the old man, who takes this as an opportunity to let him in on this private information. Ethan is introduced to the president of the GUARDIANS Colony: President Obel Dallgun, along with Dr. Tomrain, who shares with Ethan that the attack on the colony was an experiment to attract the SEED using A-photons, and that they plan to do this experiment again on Parum. Ethan vehemently refuses this mission, as he believes they recklessly put innocent lives in danger for the sake of a test. Dallgun laughs at his reaction, as he reminds him of Ethan's own father. After explaining the seriousness of the situation regarding A-photons, they change Ethan's mind. His next mission is set for the ruins of Mellvore, the famed city that faced a massive explosion. He is accompanied by Lou, who briefs him that he will be joined by Maya and another mysterious person. After preparations are made, Ethan, Lou, and Maya head to Mellvore, where they rendezvous with an A-photon researcher, by the name of Kou Taragi; an old acquaintance of Maya. To her surprise, he will be joining them investigating the ruins. What secrets could be found within?
This chapter immediately throws you into your first trial, which should be easy enough for you at your current level. You'll have until 8:00 to gain an S rank for this trial. Once you reach Parum, remember to get fully equipped and prepared for the next trial. As of this chapter, dark element TECHNICS will be available, so tech users should take full advantage of elemental abilities. Melee users should keep an eye out for Tornado Dance, which should be a priority PA to get for double sabers.
When you finally reach Mellvore Ruins, things will really start to get serious. Lightning, and fire enemies will be here, as well as neutral. You will be introduced to the large enemy Jarba, which is extremely dangerous. It hits hard, and its primary attack is the TECHNIC: Megid, while it can damage you, it also has the chance of fully incapacitating you, so do best to avoid it at all costs. It will be even more of a priority to keep Dr. Taragi away from it as well, since your party is susceptible to the effects. Keep him alive for the current trials, or you will lose your S rank. Be on the lookout for the 100% drop Jitseen, which should be a good replacement for your saber class weapons. At the end of the first area, you'll come across SEED enemies and a stronger variant of the larger SEED-Vance, known as SEED-Vitace. You have until 1:00 to defeat them all.
The next area will take place in the RELICS, with light, lightning, and fire enemies. You will need Dr. Taragi alive for this trial as well. You have until 10:00 to reach the end. Things won't stay quiet however, as SEED will emerge after the mission, and you'll be introduced to two newer large enemies. A variant of the Svaltus: Orgdus, will appear and you'll also contend with the enemy Zamvapas, which is TECHNIC resistant. Stick to melee to take it out. Tornado Dance will do enough damage to defeat it. Things will get more hectic at the end, where you'll have one final trial to deal with. The dragon De Ragnus, will come out from it slumber to greet you. You will have until 2:00 to defeat it, on top of keeping Maya alive to secure your S rank. Good luck.
