Fast Track to reading and writing Arabic adopts an innovative approach to teaching the skills of reading and writing Arabic to absolute beginners by using an assimilative methodology based on phonics.
The letters of the alphabet are introduced one at a time, and the student is given the opportunity to read each letter with the various possible combinations of long and short vowels, as well as the ‘ay’ and ‘ow’ dipthongs, sukoon and shadda. Arabic words are introduced from an early stage, but no word contains letters that the student has not already covered. This assimilative approach enables the student to learn the alphabet in a gradual yet thorough manner, without feeling daunted by the prospect of having to learn the entire alphabet at one go.
