I watched this back when it was airing because I'm a fan of the screenwriter/director and once I found out they took inspiration from one of my all time favourite films (The Classic) I had to watch it. I was expecting more from this drama but overall I was happy with how everything was made and it was an enjoyable drama. It'll just never hold a torch to the original but baring in mind this wasn't meant to be a carbon copy of 'The Classic' so I can forgive it based on that. However I think they took a fantastic idea and they didn't create it to it's full potential. I feel like if it had different actors it could possibly have been a 10/10 for me. On a highly positive note it was beautiful to look at especially in the first four episodes.
It's quite a simple MV, no voice overs but it's more to showcase the couple. I'm not sure which couple I prefer in the drama because I love both versions but I guess I would have to say the modern day generation because it had more episodes and they were able to go more into their story. However nothing beats a classic feel summer romance in my books. So I would have to give them 50/50.
