This ongoing series highlights art and objects from Smithsonian collections to address issues of social justice. This program uses a portrait of Dr. Charles Drew and instruments of Dr. William Montague Cobb to explore how these two pioneering African American doctors used science to combat racism. We will discuss medical racism and how trust in medicine is both built and broken.
