Join photographer Ruth Davey, an inspiring individual whose personal journey with mental health has shaped the way she sees the world.

Through photography, Ruth has found a way to slow down, refocus and quite literally look again; using the camera as a tool to shift perspective and reconnect with the present moment.

Ruth is the founder and director of Look Again, a UK-based organisation that uses photography and visual storytelling to support mental health, wellbeing and personal development. Through creative workshops and educational programmes, they help individuals explore their experiences, build confidence and connect with others. Their work often focuses on amplifying marginalised voices, using image-making as a tool for reflection, expression and empowerment.

You can find out more about Look Again and what the organisation offers via their website: look-again.org

Whether used for stills photography or filmmaking, a camera offers the user a unique opportunity to tell a story. Here at Wex, we recognise the value of those stories and believe they all deserve to be heard, as they provide an insight into the spectrum of human experiences lived across a nation of creative people.

Our #ChangeTheImage campaign showcases a selection of talented individuals from a variety of backgrounds, exploring the benefits of photography as a tool to provide therapy, raise awareness and drive social change.
