Extracts from a conversation in which Christie Williamson talks to fellow Glasgow-resident Shetlander Chris Stout. Alongside samples of Christie's poetry and a short documentary introduction, this film contributes to a small Shetlandic collection which forms part of an extension series of the Island Voices project, in which its "capture and curation" model is used for more languages in addition to English and Gaelic.
In Part 2, they talk about what it’s like to go home to Shetland for visits, and how mobile phones, particularly in the wake of Covid, have enabled Shetlanders to keep in closer contact.
