Ranjan Palit is an established cinematographer, director and producer with over 35 years of experience. He has shot over a hundred documentaries, 14 feature films and around 250 commercials for screen and television. Ranjan has won four National Awards and several international awards. He has been conducting masterclasses on cinematography and documentary filmmaking, Berkeley, Austin, Helsinki, Busan and Taipei, among others, and been on several international festival juries, including at Yamagata, Japan.
Rajiv Mehrotra is the founding Managing Trustee and Commissioning Editor of PSBT - his films have won more than 300 awards worldwide, including 32 in 31 years from the President of India. His nine books are available in 50 languages and editions. He serves as the Trustee/ Secretary of the Foundation for Universal Responsibility of HH the Dalai Lama (For more, see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajiv_Mehrotra).
PSBT was a not-for-profit that nurtured and supported the production of independent documentary films by a diversity of filmmakers from across India. Over two decades, it produced close to 700 documentary films, each film averaging two film festival selections and every second film an award. PSBT was led by some of India's iconic film personalities - Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Mrinal Sen, Shyam Benegal, Sharmila Tagore, with Fali Nariman and Kiran Karnik. From its inception in 2000, Tulika Srivastava was a key member of the Team, joined in 2005, by Ridhima Mehra.

Nundrisha Wakhloo is an independent documentary filmmaker based in New Delhi, India. Her work captures forms of reminiscing in spaces and by people, driven by her own sense of belongingness to her culture. She completed a year-long fellowship at the Union Docs Collaborative Studio, New York, in 2020. Presently she is the Co-Director of New Delhi chapter of the Video Consortium, a global platform that supports voices in documentary film and video journalism. Her films have been screened at various festivals. Her diploma film Chaaya (From the Shadows) is available on MUBI and DA films. She recently completed her short documentary Brair Kani (Cat’s Attic) which is being screened at various festivals.
Daksh Punj has worked as a freelance filmmaker on documentaries for Discovery, National Geographic, Animal Planet, and advocacy films for various non-profits.
In 2022, he was one of the twelve selected participants of the 20th edition of Bridging the Gap program (2022) hosted by The Scottish Documentary Institute. He recently codirected a short documentary called Cat’s Attic that premiered at IDSFFK, 2023 in the competition section.

PSBT is led by some of Indias iconic film personalities - Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Sharmila Tagore and Kiran Karnik. Shyam Benegal, Mrinal Sen, Aruna Vasudev and Fali Nariman were also Trustees in their lifetimes.
Since 2025, Aparna Sanyal has been leading PSBT as Director. She is a national award-winning filmmaker, and an experienced broadcast professional who has held leadership roles in various media organisations, including the India Chapter of the International Association of Women in Radio & Television.
This film is a part of PSBTs mentoring initiative, Doc_Commune. Launched in 2021, the programme offers a dedicated space for young filmmakers to engage with experienced professionals, refine their projects, and build a supportive community. Through a series of masterclasses, feedback sessions, and conversations, Doc_Commune encourages creative exploration while offering practical guidance on the documentary process. It serves as a bridge between early-career filmmakers and the larger documentary ecosystem. Harjas Singh works on Doc_Commune as Assistant Producer.
