The family of a teen fatally shot this weekend is remembering 16-year-old Cameron Frierson as a loving son and brother, a driven student with big plans for his future, and an outgoing young man who easily made friends- a life brutally ended after a football game in North Nashville.
"He is very loving... He loved us so much," Cameron's mother, Brittany Frierson, said. "He was a superstar. He was bright, funny, caring."
Frierson, a junior at Hunters Lane High School, was shot Friday night while walking with his younger brother after a football game at Pearl-Cohn High School. Metro Nashville police said someone in a white sedan with tinted windows opened fire near Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, next to the school, after the game had ended and most of the crowd had left.
