It's like that one scene from the utena movie
this animation really was a lot of more experimental stuff regarding compositing and editing. I've only just learned that my program accepts image sequences. I would say most of the time was doing that over actually animating (maybe?) as for the animation, i did wanna try animating underwater physics even though its basically endless follow through. Think it went ok. The water filling up in the first part was probably the most annoying part of it.

Also arugably star underwater is a better thumbnail but also i dont like spoiling any style switch ups like this one. Which kinda sounds stupid for a 20 sec video but i digress

you see i cant really draw normal star to be like edgy and cool and have aura because it feels wrong. So good thing these two guys exist now.

Every time Devil Star/Angel star get something I always feel as if the other one needs a counterpart to it. They have very different design philosophies behind them though, which can make it a challenge. Making devil star a counterpart to the gas mask design was something that i thought i wouldnt be able to be on par with. The gas mask is quite simplistic yet a pretty successful design that just hit me randomly on the head. I didnt think id be able to come up with something of similar calibre. So i decided to do a crazy amount of research to figure out the design for DS which made it actually turn out way cooler I think. There was a lot of details and artistic choices that went into it. To keep it brief: vietnamese opera and this one specific female archetype that exists in it. Guardian Lions and the little marble that they have (star is the marble, i guess) among like personal other personal meaning stuff. As for this meme, another thing i sunk many hours into. This one has a lot more editing and like, polish (not the country) to it, even if it technically is not even the entire animation meme ._.
ive also been sick the past few days, which leads me to draw more (easiest activity for me to do).

Another map I wanted to reupload that I participated in... I had to edit a lot of parts so at least it was in a somewhat correct aspect ratio, but the map was already jank so this is the best I could lol. I also chose this thumbnail bc it was the one that was used iirc. The part I have in the map is literally over 10 years old which is still something you can watch by itself in my unlisted videos folder. I think a lot of people assume I unlisted my old videos because they are cringe (and while they are) its so that people dont confuse the old channel i have with my new one, lol. I still wish that this channel could have the original @ starpixelation user. Which I actually had but changed on my old channel to: @SuperStarPixelations since i thought i could take that username here (no.) So now this channel ended up being @StarPixelationStarPixelation

very experimental with this one, very jack stauber-esque, no?
there was a lot that went into this animation, my room is covered in paper scraps. And most of my time really was compositing more than animating, lol. I will say though this is my first time actually using traditional mediums for an animation. Most of the time I just edit stuff to make it look like paper/whatnot but this is the real stuff. Mostly.
