In our latest video for our London exhibition ‘In Air and Fire: War Artists, the Battle of Britain and the Blitz’ printmaker Stephen Mumberson, Middlesex University, makes a woodcut print inspired by war artist Elva Blacker’s ‘Filter Room’ (1944), demonstrating a Japanese printing technique.
His print ‘Women in War’ (2020) features in a related display of works by Fine Art and Printmaking students and staff from Middlesex University.
