The 2020 Prosperity Index reveals that improvements to global prosperity prior to the pandemic had in large part been driven by better health, education, and living conditions across the world.
Despite enormous challenges in its not too distant history, Sri Lanka has ensured that it has been able to empower significant sectors of its society, particularly regarding access to quality education and healthcare.
To help explain the impact of these improvements on the lived experience of Sri Lankans, we were delighted to spend some time in conversation with Her Excellency Saroja Sirisena, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
