Every child deserves access to lifesaving heart care, regardless of where they are born. Discover how Philips and One World One Family Mission are working together to expand access to pediatric cardiac care across the South Pacific through innovation, collaboration and a shared purpose.
In the video, Bert van Meurs, Chief Business Leader Diagnosis and Treatment – Image Guided Therapy of Philips, and Sri Madhusudan Sai, founder of One World One Family Mission, share the story behind creating Fiji's first pediatric cardiac hospital to bring specialized heart care closer to families in the South Pacific region.
Together, they were able to meet both the clinical need for cardiac surgeries to improve patient outcomes, and the humanitarian needs to accelerate access to care for people in the region. By uniting healthcare providers, charities, governments and industry, the initiative created a sustainable local care model for a global healthcare challenge.
