It's genuinely incredible the amount of improvement 8 years can make, especially given some years I didn't really animate much due to exams and other such things.

Never give up if you're a beginner, time and practice will glo you the friggle up ^^

ANYWAYS I decided to redo a segment of my old bluestar's death video that I made back in earlyish 2008 when I'd only been animating for around 2-3 months tops? Maybe not even that. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, used a crappy computer mouse and MS paint. We all start somewhere ;P
Some people argue that 'programs' and 'equipment' are the only things that can help you improve. This is only about 20-30% true. They can help, sure. But you can give a complete beginner a cintique, adobe flash/tvpaint and all the time in the world, and they will still only make something similar to my first animation.
The key to improvement is time, and those who quit saying the have 'no talent'... you do. If you have the drie to keep working on what you do and to keep improving yourself, that is where your talent lies :) No body plops out the womb knowing how to do anything, we all start on a level playing field.
