Hey everyone! Improv 51 in the houuuse.
I'm part of a ragtag group of incredibly talented musicians on youtube, and we talk about all kinds of fun things over facebook. These musical friends and I have started playing a game wherein one of us comes up with a motif--a little melody of some kind--and everyone else write a quick piece based on that motif. Improv 50 was my melodic interpretation of a motif that I'd been thinking about for a few days. The winner of last month's melody competition was Tera Catallo (youtube.com/TeraCMusic), and so this month, she put up a melody for us to play with. This is my interpretation of her 4-bar theme--an improv in D with a few new tricks and some nifty key changes. I hope you enjoy it!
