The title ,,Impressions" can be interpreted as "Feeling". All of the tracks in this album were a result of my own feelings, emotions and thoughts. Each of them is a story in itself and they create a new, bigger story when put together.
It's probably my most personal album I have created so far, because I really tried to put as much "me" in it as possible, all my hopes, struggles, thoughts and feelings. I guess it's the Autumn's mood, Autumn always gives me a boost in inspiration, but sometimes also makes me too contemplative and sometimes too worried about too many things. But luckily, for a musician, each mood is good fo creating music, each mood can result in something creative and unique.
Of course the title also refers to Impressionism (a 19th-century art movement). I tried to recreate the impressionistic music style in this album and even though I'm aware thta it's not always 100% historically accurate in terms of music theory, I think it's safe to say that it's close enough :)
Anyway, I'm really REALLY happy with this album, even though it's pretty short. I just started second year of studying Sound Design, so sadly I don't know how much time will I have in next months.
I hope that you'll enjoy this album, I know it's different from what I usually compose, which is orchestral fantasy music, but I really wanted to create something piano-focused for a long time. Composing for piano-only was also a really interesting experience for me, it allowed me to focus on new things and test-out some new ideas. But I will probably go back to Medieval/Celtic music now for a longer while :)
