In this video I take apart the right earbud of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 to find out why the volume suddenly dropped. Before diving into the teardown, I tried the usual cleaning steps—mesh cleaning, alcohol, airflow—none of which fixed the issue.
Once opened, the real culprit showed up fast: the Buds 2 use two tiny speakers, and one of them had a hair-thin wire completely severed after the earbud was dropped. No amount of cleaning could bring that back.
I walk through the full disassembly, show the exact point of failure, and explain what can and can’t realistically be repaired at home. If you’re dealing with low volume on one side, this might be what’s going on inside yours.
