This is the moment an impatient elephant cheekily used his tusks to knock on a car's bonnet to let the driver know he was in the way.

Richard Staniland was on safair at Kruger National Park, South Africa, a fortnight ago [May 6] when he spotted a large elephant taking shade under a roadside tree.

The 50-year-old's startling footage captures the moment the giant mammal trundles down the road and appears to realise a parked car is blocking him from leaving the clearing.
