40 years ago Himitsu Sentai Goranger hit the Japanese airwaves.  A new paradigm within the Tokusatsu genre was born. A new breed of super hero defending the earth from threats terrestrial and extra deminsional.

39 teams of heroes spanning 40 years linked together in a shared universe of stories translated into dozens of languages and adapted most famously into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers here in the states.

All I have to say to that is Happy birthday Super Sentai.
