Increasing Women’s Participation in Ghana’s Green Economy: Capturing the challenges women encounter in the green business sector led by Imani Ghana.
With climate change becoming an increasingly pressing issue, there is a growing need for businesses to adopt sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. In Ghana, we are seeing a rise in green businesses that are committed to reducing their carbon footprint and promoting sustainable development.
However, despite the benefits of going green, there are still significant challenges that these businesses face. One of the main obstacles is the lack of incentives and support from the government and other stakeholders. Without adequate incentives, it can be difficult for green businesses to compete with more traditional businesses, which often prioritize profit over environmental sustainability.
As a result, roundtable discussions are organised for key stakeholders to explore the incentives that can be put in place or are already in place to support green businesses in Ghana, the challenges they face, and potential solutions and strategies that can be implemented to incentivize and promote sustainable practices.
