Comparison of image stabilization modes on Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII (#RX100M7) ultrazoom compact camera. The video shows three different modes of stabilization system: ON, OFF and ACTIVE. There are three different scenes. Each is shown in full frame for 4 seconds sequentially and then there is a 5-second comparison of all three modes next to each other for better evaluation.

As you can see, there is a slight crop factor in active mode which lowers the amount of over-sampling (RX100 VII actually takes 5K video which is downsampled to 4K). All samples were taken at UHD 4K resolution at 30p. So let us look how do these modes compare to each other.
