I’m Turning 50… So I’m Trying Something New
I’m about to turn 50 and it has me thinking about life, aging, curiosity, and what I want the next decade to look like.
In this video, I’m sharing some reflections on getting older, the experiences that have shaped my perspective, and why I truly believe aging is a privilege. I also talk about a personal experiment to try 50 new things during my first year in my 50s.
Nothing extreme or competitive… just intentionally saying yes to new experiences, big and small. New foods, new places, new skills, books I’ve never read, classic movies I somehow missed, and whatever else sparks curiosity along the way.
Some of these experiences may show up here on the channel or on social media, but mostly this is about staying curious and adding a little more whimsy to everyday life.
And I’d love your help.
If you have suggestions, tell me in the comments:
- Classic movies I absolutely need to see
- Books everyone should read at least once
- New experiences you think I should add to my “50 for 50” list
And if you feel like sharing, I’d love to hear your thoughts about getting older too.
