Ohohoho!! An Evil!Clay AU animatic!! (Based on my evil Clay AU, not the Gray Knight, lol) I’ll probably explain the AU in later animatics?? Maybe?? It probably I’ll just write a comment abt it lol

So- AU time!!
This animatic actually happens pretty late in the storyline, so I’m gonna back up a bit. It starts out at the Knights Academy. A horrible accident happens, and unfortunately, Clay, who has just started his second year, is blamed for it. Nobody knows how this accident happened, only that apparently Clay was the culprit. Not even Merlok knows. So...
Clay gets expelled. :(
About a day after, when all of his stuff is moved out of his room at the Academy and his training shield is taken away, he gets mad that nobody defended him for something he didn’t do. He runs away, but he doesn’t know where to GO, so he ends up in Merloks library.
That’s where he met the Book of Monsters. The Book convinced Clay that it was everyone’s fault his dreams were crushed, and tells him he can get revenge. All he had to do was one simple thing: free him from the book.
Clay does. The Book doesn’t even pull the same stunt he did with Jestro; he tells Clay he’s Monstrox from the start. So young Clay knowingly becomes the apprentice of Monstrox.
Years later, at the graduation ceremony for the remaining knights, Clay comes back. The knights have barely gotten their shield when Clay bursts in. That’s when he realizes that Merlok erased him from the Knights’ memories, to protect them after he found out that Monstrox was freed.
Clay wants revenge for a lot now. His goals are: 1)to get a shield. It didn’t matter to him if he had to STEAL one, as long as he had it. 2) to get rid of principal Brickland, the one that expelled him without proper evidence. 3) get rid of the knights, who didn’t defend him AND forgot him 4) get rid of Merlok, who most likely KNEW who caused the accident years before, didn’t defend him, and erased him from the memories of the only fri new he ever had. PLUS, when Monstrox told him about his heritage, Clay wanted to get revenge on Merlok for keeping THAT a secret.
(Also, he wanted to help his new ‘friend’, Monstrox, get what he wants)
Now, Monstrox didn’t exactly regain human form. He sort of became a ghost, visible only to Clay. That’s when he’s sorta faded in the animatic. Aaaaaand, the animatic happens after Clay steals armor and a sword from the armory, before he changes to a cool evil cape and steals a shield.
