It’s been a while...
Over the past year I took some time away from YouTube to focus on some personal and family things and to think about what I wanted this channel to be moving forward. I didn’t want to rush back just to post something — I wanted to come back when it felt right.
And now it does.
For anyone new here, I design the projects, build them, film them, edit them, and produce the videos myself — usually in a one-car garage woodshop while balancing family life and a full-time career as a firefighter.
Before YouTube, I spent about ten years working as a wedding photographer. That background in storytelling, light, and capturing moments still shapes the way I approach these videos today.
The shop isn’t going anywhere. I still love building things. But I’ve realized I don’t want everything I create to exist only inside the shop. Being outside — exploring, wandering with a camera, spending time in the mountains — has always been a huge source of inspiration for the work I do here.
Going forward you’ll still see woodworking on this channel, but you’ll also see more of what inspires it: photography, adventure, exploration, and the places that spark new ideas before they ever turn into a project.
