To be clear, I do think Eugenia Cooney would benefit from stepping away from social media.
BUT, neither you, nor I have enough knowledge about her mental or physical health, or her private situation to demand this specific action to be taken.
Not to mention a social media platform deciding about ones health and appearance in a way that would be considered unprofessional and offensive if a mental health professional would enforce this.
Judging by what we know for a fact is that Eugenia has an ED and that she does videos that indirectly involve her body. I. e. fashion, cosplay, make up.
even IF body checking is a part of it, it's a symptom and it's indirect.
She is not harming anyone ACTIVELY, all of the reasoning for this claim involve speculation, adding and subtracting context, and biases.
WE DON'T KNOW!
She is not responsible for triggered viewers, and minors in her audience might be true, but she's not targeting her content to minors, so she's not responsible.
Of course I am for protecting children from harm online, but the responsibility for the creator of content isn't as clear cut.
We've seen this with COPPA.
Treat all of these concerns individually and compare them to other mental health disorders and to other YouTubers.
