After a cold night in the new Escape trailer, I'm taking things slow as I make my way across Montana. The difference in insulation compared to my old trailer is already obvious, and today is a good chance to see how it's handling real-world temperatures.
Along the way I stop in Bozeman to pick up a few packages (which turns into a waiting game), test the new solar setup while running the air conditioner, and see how the trailer performs in the summer heat. I also share some first impressions of the white exterior, the battery and power usage, and what I still plan to upgrade with another 400 watts of solar.
The day wraps up at one of my favorite free campgrounds in Columbus, Montana, where I settle in by the river, open up the windows for a cross breeze, and enjoy another beautiful Montana evening. Sometimes the best travel days are the ones where nothing is rushed.
