A little while back I mentioned I discovered a musical about Henry VIII (creativity named Henry VIII the Musical) I listened to the soundtrack and I think it’s alright (a little cheesy but still it has a few hidden gems)! I’ve wanted to do a set for awhile and now that I have the queens casted (minus swapping Looney Cat with a female Rascal to play Parr.) I think I’d like to do a full set. However I kinda want this set to be somewhat casted by you guys! I’ve listed parts below. My only rule is I want the characters to be played by Rascals. So please give suggestions!
Henry VIII, our lead: You already know about him, he’s the only character I don’t want to be portrayed by a Rascal. Villains Rule actually suggested Alastor from Hazbin Hotel and I love the idea but I’m open to other opinions.
Thomas Cromwell: Henry’s advisor. Keep in mind he gets beheaded, so please don’t suggest someone what would be upset by ‘dying’ in a fan make.
The ladies in waiting: This one is exciting. So this isn’t exactly 100% accurate but let’s pretend the Ladies featured in Six are the ladies here. Gender doesn’t matter! Feel free to suggest guys, gals, and non binary pals! The ‘People’ in waiting provide backup for Catherine of Aragon, Anne of Cleves, and Katherine Howard’s songs
Margaret Lee: Served Anne Boleyn
Elizabeth Blount: Served Anne of Cleves
Joan Meutas: Served Jane Seymour
María de Salinas: Served Catherine of Aragon
The Jester: I actually have an idea for this one. Now the Jester doesn’t actually have a singing part so instead I’m going to do the Horrible Histories short where he tells Henry about Howard.
And then the towns folk and soldiers will be played by other Rascals! 😁
