Join me, Wranglerstar, as I prepare for the upcoming wildland fire season with my Honda Pioneer and Qtac fire skid. In today’s video, I’ll show you how to defend your homestead, especially when fire departments are stretched too thin and the safety of your home might depend on you.
We'll start by getting the fire skid ready and head out to a nearby stream to draft water. I’ll explain the drafting process used by wildland firefighters, demonstrating step-by-step how to pull a draft with the pump.
For the grand finale, we’ll conduct a flow test to see which frost-free hydrant will fill the Qtac’s 85-gallon water tank the fastest: the 1" or the 3/4". Stay tuned and don’t miss the excitement!
