Before I open the brand-new Insta360 X6, I’m going back to the Insta360 X5.

Why?

Because if I’m going to tell you whether the X6 is REALLY worth upgrading to, I need to remind myself what the X5 is actually like to use in 2026.

So in this video, I’m putting the X5 back through its paces — shooting 8K 360 video, testing stabilization, low-light performance, reframing, the invisible selfie stick, and the overall shooting experience.

The X5 was already an incredibly capable 360 camera, so the big question is:

Is the X5 still good enough… or has Insta360 finally given us a reason to upgrade?

I’ll be using everything I learn from the X5 as my baseline for the upcoming Insta360 X6 review.
