2 years ago I moved to Lisbon, Portugal in search of a better life in the EU. I've talked about the positives of living in Portugal, but also mentioned frustrations with the insanely broken bureaucracy. And now, after Portugal just signed a new citizenship law, many immigrants including me are thinking about leaving. But why? Why do people want EU citizenship in the first place?
