Why did I start to practice folk magic and do spells, trying to communicate with spirits, working with deities, doing ancestral works and reading tarot? This video was voted for by YOU! Every week I post a poll on the community tab so you can let me know what you'd like me to talk about! In this video I'm going to talk about the two main reasons I started to practice witchcraft so it's again a bit of #storytime, I talk about my death anxiety issues with how my thanatophobia came to be and from there about the loss of my cat and the need to protect my family but I also delve into my Witchy activism and how having found other queer witches especially in the area I live in allowed me to reconnect with nature, its cycles, my green witchcraft practice, but also focus on anticapitalism and anti consumerism notions and develop in a way that considers the principles of intersectional black feminism. I mention a few books at the intersection of witchcraft and capitalism and you find more about them by scrolling this description!
