The new Arthur Ross Gallery exhibition of work by artist Barbara Earl Thomas “The Illuminated Body,” features cut-paper portraits reminiscent of stained glass, and “The Transformation Room” draped with intricately cut Tyvek material lit from behind. It’s “all about light and awe and joy,” says curator Emily Zimmerman. On view through May 21, programming includes a multimedia performance by cellist Seth Parker Woods at Penn Live Arts, and a West Philadelphia community celebration.
