In this week’s episode we cover…
1. Hi! I have a bunch of the northbay fibers bayshore sport for the Comebackigan, but I just cannot get gauge for some reason. I’ve tried EVERYTHING! I did, however, get gauge for the Traveler hoodie and wonder if you think that would work as a substitution? Would it be a stuffer fabric or grow differently with wear? I did block my gauge swatch, but I just wonder how it would compare. Thanks!
2. I want to make a hat with a folded brim with 2x2 tubular cast on. I watched your video, which is great, and I practiced. The problem I’m having is when the wrong side shows after folding up the brim, the cast on looks so messy. The cast on row stitches look wide & wonky. I kept practicing. I tried smaller needles for the cast on, I tried long tail cast on with scrap yarn, scrap yarn with crochet hook. They all look horrible. I thought maybe it’s just how the wrong side looks but I have seen hats with folded brims that use the cast on and they look fine. Do you have any suggestions I could try to improve? Thank you for all your videos. I’ve learned so much from you. I’ve been knitting since I was a little girl & one of things I love about it is that there is always something new to learn.

3. I am knitting the Jaunty for my first ever kal. I’m not on Instagram but found the link on Ravelry. . However, I am clueless on how to join the kal. I didn’t find instructions on how to join the kal & where to upload pictures. I hope I’m not the only one. Thank you!

4. Hello! I recently had my second son in January, and I have a 2.5 year old also. I am struggling with wearing my knits, for fear of spit up, food, or anything else ending up on my precious handmade items. Do you have any suggestions of what to do if you get something on a knit? Or recommendations for stain-removing products? Is there a trick I don’t know about? Thanks so much! I love watching you every week!

5. Hi Andrea! I love your podcasts and what I learn from them. This is not a knitting question really but you have mentioned that you have several auto immune disorders and I am wondering how you time manage to deal with fatigue (not sure you deal with that) and times when you feel not so well to keep continuing to knit and exercise make nourishing foods and all the things a mom and designer-maker requires. Any helpful hints would be appreciated. I hope this is not too personal to ask. Thank you for giving the knitting world such lovely designs to make!
