wow this was hard. i don’t usually hate stuff - and when i do, it’s hard to find good qualities about it (umbridge? ramsay?). but finally - here it is.

what i hate about sth i love (red) – pepper & tony. one of my favourite mcu pairings, and definitely the one that’s the best on screen. it was hard to choose things i dislike about them, but in the end, i chose esp. tony’s character traits that have a negative impact on their relationship (inattentiveness, self-absorbedness, self-destructive tendencies etc), and how him being iron man endangers pepper and puts her in harm’s way.
what i love about sth i hate (blue) - natasha & bruce. okay, let me say: i really hate how they were handled in aou. it came out of nowhere, it was pure male nerd fan service, it had no importance for plot or character development (it would actually have been better for them to just be pals, story-wise), it was completely ooc esp. for natasha, and don’t get me fucking started on that fucking sterilisation conversation. i physically had to take a shower after watching that scene, to cleanse myself of the unholiness that is this horrible horrible writing. but that said - the actors did a really good job. and if you ignore all the circumstances - with the exception of the above-mentioned part of their private conversation, their scenes were…sweet? like, sure, awkward flirting, but that’s bruce for you. so i chose to portray how natasha brings out the humanity in the hulk and accepts both sides of him, and how they understand each other, both being „monsters“ (bc he’s the hulk and she’s a freaking assassin who’s killed a bunch of people, not bc she can’t have kids. let’s just ignore that paragraph ever happened). plus, there’s that part in their bar conversation - all her friends are warriors, all natasha’s ever known is war, and bruce is a man of peace.

btw, the colouring was our house unity.

aaanyways. idk what more to say. i've been awake for two days in a row now, so i guess i'll go to sleep...
