We welcome rising Hawaiian artist ʻIliahi Kaʻōnohi to the HI*Sessions stage. At just 15 years old, ʻIliahi is a Kanaka Maoli vocalist, ʻukulele player, pianist, and cultural storyteller whose music carries the spirit of Hawaiʻi from the islands to the continent. Originally from Hawaiʻi and now based in St. George, Utah, she has spent the past five years performing traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music, developing a voice especially known for her gift of leo kiʻekiʻe.
ʻIliahi was named Grand Prize Winner of the 2025 Hilton Grand Vacations Music Contest and was a winner of the Mana Maoli Music Contest in both 2024 and 2025. She has shared the stage with respected Hawaiian artists, including Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner Mailani Makaʻināʻi at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and has opened for Iam Tongi in Southern Utah. Her growing list of performances also includes the Blue Note, Hawaiian KINE 105.1's Summer Concert Series, the Maliʻo concert at the Hawaiʻi Theatre, and a feature as an emerging artist on Island Life Live.
For her HI*Sessions performance, ʻIliahi shares the voice, musicianship, and love for Hawaiian culture that have already made her an exciting young artist to watch. Through her vocals, ʻukulele, and commitment to ʻōlelo and mele Hawaiʻi, she represents a new generation carrying Hawaiian music forward—honoring the traditions and stories that came before her while bringing her own youthful perspective to the music. ʻIliahi is currently recording her debut EP.
