Ilhan Omar just told America the Alien Enemies Act was last used to detain German, Japanese, and Italian immigrants during World War I.
World War… one?
The major use of that act against those groups was World War II.
This is a sitting member of Congress.
Someone who votes on national security, immigration, and war powers just mixed up the two biggest wars of the 20th century on camera.
If she can’t get basic American history right, why should anyone trust her judgment on the actual laws that protect this country?
This is the level of competence we’re dealing with.
