In the heart of Ijen, an active vulcano, you can see about 5 m heigh blue flames during mid night. To get to the top we could easily walk along a trail that looked like a running track but to get down in the crater it wasn't more than slippery rocks to walk on and I could only shoot videos at the most easy parts.It is good to start a trip to Ijen from Banyuwangi but it is a small village so you are better of prebooking your hotel.
