Goodbye bestie enjoy retirement!! I am in fact still heartbroken it's over thanks for asking!!

Once again wanna say how much I love this show, it means the world to me, I will miss Ash and Pikachu dearly.

When it was announced that Ash would be leaving the anime one of the first things I did after having a breakdown was look into songs about goodbyes to pay tribute to this show. I had a few songs I considered but this was the one that immediately caught my attention the most. Yes it's about a goodbye - but it's not a sad song. It's about making the most of the time you have together, about cherishing those memories, about it not being goodbye forever. At least that's how I interpreted the song, I'm not good at this kinda stuff so maybe I'm off haha. But I thought that was beautiful and touching.

I also very quickly had the idea of matching the companion goodbye scenes with return episodes, that's what most of this ended up being, but I found it matched very well. Also Gary. I like Gary. He shows up a lot he counts close enough. There are some scenes I ended up having to mix around because mezase pokemon master wasn't as return heavy as I was initially hoping it would be when it was announced and Goh and Koharu sadly never got a return at all - but hey I got to replace the Tracey scenes. Still in awe he talked after like... 17 years. Thought about adding in Pidgeots return as well but eeh got too lazy to switch around those scenes if I'm being honest, I liked it being one of the goodbyes and the sunset scenes together.

The last "you're missing all the tears we'll cry" is me talking to Ash because does he know?? How much that scene made me cry?? How much I'm still crying after and he's not there for it??

I edited this over the span of the past few months and only had the space I left for the last episode to fill out, took me a couple days to work up the energy to do it. Being done with this hurt. Finally did it really close to April 1st and by that point I though yeah might as well. So this counts as both my goodbye and the (somehow) yearly anniversary amv now because I said so. Kinda fcked up that lined up this well.
