My first experience with ULTRAKILL! I do this thing from time to time where I ask everyone in my Discord to suggest a song for me to remix that week, with one of them being guaranteed to be chosen for the week. Well there were excellent suggestions, but The Death of God's Will REALLY stood out to me. I've been doing these JRPG style remixes for some time, and it felt like this song was crying out to me when I first heard it. I'm really curious about the game now too.
In terms of the arrangement, I stayed relatively faithful to the original. My approach to start off with was to map out the structure of the original to work out what needed to be covered, where I could do my classic piano solo and what else I might be able to include. There were quite a few chord changes from the original in this arrangement. It just sort of made sense to me given the VERY Final Fantasy inspired feel to this arrangement. What can I say! I am Everything Fantasy after all. Thanks for watching!
