A few weeks ago I was relaxing on my couch with my television remote. Slowly scrolling through possibilities. Out of sheer boredom, I just decided to put on a few minutes of this Beatles doc by Peter Jackson, Get Back.
Despite never being interested in this band in my life, I proceeded to watch the entire 6 hours over the course of the next several days. It was a fascinating look into the 60's, the tech, the fashion, the culture, the expectations. But more surprising was a raw and honest look at the creative process. Something that felt like a struggle, something that felt real.
So now I'm in my Beatles phase, at 36 years old. The four guys were so compelling and charming and funny and not afraid to be artists. Here is my take on one of my favorites from the rooftop, "Don't Let Me Down".
