This was an insane one to do for many reasons! I spent this entire week thinking about how I'm going to remix this. I hadn't opened my music software at this point yet but I was almost theory crafting the entire remix in my head. This was a lot easier to do for my Through Patches of Violet and In Hell We Live, Lament remixes. There are so many components to Hero that I wanted to take a different approach from normal. I had to start by dividing the piece into two. I'll describe it as the major and the minor section (key signatures). 0:00 to 1:40 is the major section and everything after is the minor section. I wanted to include a sort of transition section to take me from major to minor and also switch out the instrumentation. The inclusion of an organ was VERY inspired by Dancing Mad from Final Fantasy VI (one of my personal favourite games of all time). So all in all it took a lot more careful listening of the original compared to previous remixes as I wanted to capture as much as possible in a way that made sense.
