A little while ago, I reacted to Compass. I always really loved the simplicity of the original arrangement. It tells the story impactfully without the need to introduce too much complexity to the arrangement. I love the lyrics too and really wanted to try and reflect the feel of the lyrics without actually using words. Introducing some slower sections and the piano only section I felt helped to do this. I almost feel like of my Limbus JRPG remixes, each one kind of builds on each other and introduces something new. This time I did A LOT of layering of instruments. For instance, normally in an orchestral we have violins 1, 2, viola, cello and double basses. But there are actually multiple violins stacked on each other. So 32 violins 1 for instance instead of 16. I felt it would add to the lyrical nature of the melody and also add some sharpness that was mixing in my previous remixes. I did the same for the French horns too.
