This video is tool-assisted: it was created by advancing the game one frame at a time and performing every input exactly as desired, then playing back the same input stream at 60 fps. This match was choreographed by me; both characters were controlled by me, not an AI; and there is no AI that controls a CPU similar to the way player 2 in this video acts.

Multiple new strats including a start that saves 0.5 seconds (huge, when the previous record was 8.72)
Theres an optimization that breaks targets 2-4 one frame faster, but it doesnt matter yet because you still have to wait until the cloud gets in position before you can hit target 5.
