I love Loituma's version of this Finnish polka. It's so wonderful how this song continues to be reinvented and embraced by popular culture. There was Leekspin back in 2006 (the anime character Orihime Inoue from the Bleach series twirling a leek). Then followed various ringtone versions. Of course, the version you are probably familiar with is the amazing Turkish musician Bilal Göregen performing Ievan Polkka on a darbuka - which then went viral after the addition of the Vibing Cat / Cat JAM (along with Biden and Trump)!
I'm not sure Eino Kettunen could have possibly imagined any of this when he wrote the lyrics to this traditional Finnish melody back in 1928!!
