Two very important parts of the writing score for the essay are the Task Response and Cohesion & Coherence criteria. These criteria look at the ideas presented and how well linked they are, how they flow, how they present and support a thesis, and so on.
In this video we look at a type of task that people find difficult because of the ideas involved. The task is this:
In the past, people trusted what they saw in photographs. Nowadays, because of technology, it is hard to trust the reality seen in photos.
Do you think this is a negative or positive development?
We will work through reading the task, brainstorming ideas, and writing two versions of the essay to see two approaches to the body paragraphs.
