The blessed event and conception of Idle Hands took place in the early weeks of December 1998 in the back-seat of a Saturn at the local Claremont, California Denny's. Three members from the hardcore punk band Suburban Empire and ex-singer from the early leagues of Emo-core band COPPER, thought that a new direction and sound was well needed in their music careers. A clean and fun mix between West Coast hardcore-punk with East Coast melodic-driving vocals, gave birth to a fast and fresh new sound and energy.
Lyrics:
We won't take a back seat on what we've achieved
We've got our priorities
And still we strive
To fulfill wide eyes
Mending our goals
As our time flies
This is not how our lives are supposed to be
I was taught to never settle for society
I won't settle for society
I'm not giving up on me
They put too much in front of me
There's too much for us to be, I know
I'm not giving up on me
